SOPHiA GENETICS and Element Biosciences Integrate AI and Sequencing Platforms for Precision Medicine Research
SOPHiA GENETICS and Element Biosciences announced a new partnership at the Association for Molecular Pathology Annual Meeting, according to a press release. The collaboration integrates SOPHiA GENETICS' AI-powered analytics platform, SOPHiA DDM, with Element's AVITI and AVITI24 sequencing systems to improve genomic workflows for precision medicine research.
The integration will allow researchers to process next-generation sequencing (NGS) data within a single workflow, combining Element's sequencing capabilities with SOPHiA GENETICS' analytical tools. Users of the AVITI and AVITI24 systems will gain access to SOPHiA DDM applications in oncology and rare disease analysis.
The partnership aims to provide laboratories with faster, more scalable, and flexible tools for genomic research. Both companies stated that the combined technology will support the global adoption of AI-driven precision medicine by simplifying access to advanced sequencing and data analysis capabilities.
