Sony Innovation Fund Backs Primitive Labs' Behavior Models
Primitive Labs secured an investment from Sony Innovation Fund to continue its human behavior research and develop Instinct, the company said in a press release. The funding amount and terms were not disclosed.
Instinct uses an organization's user research, product analytics and behavioral data to create simulated customer populations. Product, design and research teams can use the simulations to examine how different groups may navigate digital experiences and where customers may abandon onboarding, account creation, subscription or checkout processes before release.
Primitive Labs says it works with companies in retail, online commerce, media, entertainment, advertising and gaming. Founded in 2026, the San Francisco company has generated hundreds of thousands of simulated behavior paths across hundreds of customer populations and thousands of digital environments.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
