Sir Nick Clegg Joins Efekta Education Group Advisory Board
Former UK Deputy Prime Minister Sir Nick Clegg has been appointed to the Advisory Board of Efekta Education Group, announced in a press release. The company said Clegg will bring his policy and technology experience to support Efekta’s expansion and engagement with governments worldwide.
Efekta’s Advisory Board, chaired by former European Commission President José Manuel Barroso, offers strategic guidance on growth and the responsible use of AI in education. Board members will advise on how the company’s technology can strengthen teaching rather than replace it.
Clegg’s appointment follows Efekta’s expansion across Southeast Asia, Africa, Central Asia, and Latin America, where it recently deployed what it described as the world’s largest AI learning pilot involving more than four million students and teachers. Earlier pilots in Brazil showed a 32.5% improvement in standardized English test performance after two years of using the platform.
Efekta, part of Education First, develops AI-powered tools for teachers and students, including real-time adaptive learning systems and classroom support technologies currently used by millions of learners and thousands of educators globally.
