Shanghai Chengwei Launches Central Gas Supply System for Semiconductor Labs
Shanghai Chengwei Semiconductor Equipment launched a central gas supply system for semiconductor research facilities, university laboratories and precision testing centers, the company announced in a press release. The system places gas cylinders in an external distribution station to reduce cylinder handling and save laboratory floor space.
The system supports gas purity of up to 99.9999 percent. It uses seamless electropolished 316L stainless steel tubing and automated orbital tungsten inert gas welding with an argon back purge.
Automated manifolds switch between primary and reserve cylinder banks without interrupting delivery. Technicians can monitor pressure, flow and system status through a programmable logic controller and touchscreen. Safety features include gas leak detection, automatic nitrogen vacuum purging and pneumatic emergency shutoff valves.
