Safeguard Global has published its first Industry Intelligence Report, mapping key global markets for hard-to-fill life sciences roles such as machine learning engineers and clinical leaders.

Safeguard Global has released its inaugural Industry Intelligence Report, announced in a press release, identifying countries with strong talent pools for hard-to-fill positions in the life sciences sector. The report, titled *Top Countries for Hard-to-Fill Life Sciences Roles*, focuses on five role clusters including machine learning engineers, QA and validation engineers, bioprocess and automation engineers, clinical pharmacologists, and clinical project managers.

The analysis combines insights from Safeguard Global’s in-country HR experts and its AI-driven workforce optimization platform, Intelligent Workforce. It highlights markets that balance talent depth, cost efficiency, and compliance, offering data-driven guidance for hiring in a tightening global pharma landscape.

Among the findings, Montreal was noted for its concentration of deep-learning researchers supporting AI-driven drug discovery, while Portugal’s biotech talent pool has grown steadily with high English proficiency. The Czech Republic was cited for its efficient clinical trial approval process, and Puerto Rico for its bilingual workforce under U.S. FDA oversight. The Netherlands and Ireland were recognized for their established biopharma infrastructure and export capabilities.

According to Safeguard Global executives, the report aims to help HR and finance leaders align workforce strategies with business growth goals as global competition for specialized talent intensifies.
