Runloop has raised $7 million in a seed funding round led by The General Partnership, with participation from Blank Ventures, announced in a press release. The San Francisco-based company plans to use the funds to accelerate hiring and enhance its platform for the development, evaluation, and deployment of AI coding agents.

Runloop's platform provides enterprise-grade infrastructure, including secure sandboxes known as Runloop devboxes, which allow developers to create, run, and evaluate AI models. The platform also integrates with GitHub and offers features like snapshots and blueprints to streamline the deployment process.

The company aims to bridge the gap between prototype and production for AI coding agents, offering tools distinct from those used by human developers. Runloop's Public Benchmarks provide on-demand access to industry-standard performance testing, facilitating model improvement and quality demonstration.

Founded by veterans from Scale AI, Google, and Stripe, Runloop is rapidly expanding its team, drawing talent from companies like Vercel and ScaleAI. The company is focused on reducing the time to deploy AI coding agents from months to hours, enabling developers to concentrate on their core tasks rather than infrastructure challenges.
