Rocket Money Launches Rowan AI Finance Assistant

Rocket Money launched Rowan, an AI assistant built with Anthropic that monitors finances through text messages and can handle tasks such as bill negotiation, subscription cancellation, and automated savings transfers.

Rocket Money has launched Rowan, an AI financial assistant built with Anthropic, the company announced in a press release. Rowan works through text messages and is designed to monitor spending, identify possible savings, and act after user instructions.

The assistant can renegotiate recurring bills, cancel subscriptions, and create automated savings transfers. In one example given by the company, Rowan can remind a user before a free streaming trial converts to a paid subscription, then cancel it if the user replies with a cancellation request.

Rocket Money said Rowan is built on AI agents trained with its data and includes human verification for some workflows. The assistant is available now to select Rocket Money subscribers through a new Premium Plus tier, with wider availability planned later this year.
