Regatta Data Launches RegattaDB for AI Agent Workloads

Regatta Data has announced the general availability of RegattaDB, a database designed to unify transactional, analytical, and vector workloads for AI agent systems. The company also revealed $68 million in funding from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Salesforce, and others.

Regatta Data announced in a press release the general availability of RegattaDB, a distributed SQL database built to unify transactional, analytical, and vector workloads at scale. The system is designed to serve as a single data foundation for AI agent systems while reducing operational costs.

RegattaDB is available for production through a managed cloud service, called Regatta Cloud, or as a self-hosted deployment on private infrastructure. The platform combines capabilities for transaction processing, analytics, and vector search, aiming to give AI agents a unified view of data at scale.

The company revealed that it has raised 68 million dollars from investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, 83North, TPY Capital, and enterprise backers such as Salesforce Inc., Comcast, and Amdocs. Industry figures like Frank Slootman, Eyal Waldman, Bill Scannell, and Greg Lavender also participated. The founding team previously led or founded several data infrastructure firms later acquired by major technology companies.
