Realtime Robotics announced in a press release that Kevin Carlin has been appointed chief executive officer, effective immediately. Carlin succeeds cofounder Peter Howard, who will continue as nonexecutive chairman of the board.

Carlin joined the company in 2022 as chief commercial officer and became president and chief commercial officer in 2025. The Resolver platform automates and optimizes factory planning and robot system design and deployment. It lets engineers evaluate, simulate, and optimize manufacturing decisions earlier in product and process planning.

Resolver has gained use among global automakers since its commercial launch last year. The company has also expanded headcount and continued work on the platform as it prepares to scale.
