Pulumi has launched Neo, an AI agent designed to automate cloud infrastructure tasks, enhancing platform engineering capabilities.

Pulumi has introduced Neo, an AI-powered platform engineering agent that automates cloud infrastructure tasks at an enterprise scale, according to GeekWire. Neo is designed to manage infrastructure across public, private, and hybrid clouds with enterprise-grade controls.

Neo builds on Pulumi's infrastructure-as-code foundation, utilizing large language models and integrating with AI developer tools like Devin, Cursor, and VS Code. This AI agent can automate infrastructure tasks end-to-end, ensuring compliance and governance throughout the infrastructure lifecycle.

Pulumi CEO Joe Duffy highlighted that Neo acts as an extension of platform teams, capable of handling tasks that traditionally take days or weeks. Early users have reported significant improvements, including a 10x increase in infrastructure delivery and a 75% reduction in deployment time.

Neo is available to all users and customers, free of charge while in preview, and is included in Pulumi Cloud. It also integrates with Pulumi's Model Context Protocol server, available in AWS and other marketplaces.
