PowerBank Corporation has announced a new strategic focus on AI compute infrastructure and modular data centers, aligning its energy expertise with rising electricity demand from hyperscale AI operations. The company also revealed a ticker symbol change to PBK, effective June 3, 2026.

PowerBank Corporation announced in a press release that it is expanding its strategic focus to include AI compute infrastructure and modular data center development. The company aims to position itself within the growing market for energy solutions supporting artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and high performance computing.

PowerBank will treat AI compute and modular data centers as a new strategic vertical. Planned initiatives include modular and containerized data centers, behind the meter power generation, and battery supported compute operations. The company also signed a Letter of Intent with Nodiac Corp. to evaluate deployment of modular data centers at selected PowerBank energy sites across North America. Any projects will depend on definitive agreements, permitting, and financing.

The company stated that its existing expertise in solar and battery energy storage, along with a development pipeline exceeding one gigawatt, positions it to meet the energy demands of the digital economy. PowerBank’s integrated platform covers site acquisition, engineering, grid interconnection, and long term asset ownership.

As part of the announcement, PowerBank said its ticker symbol will change from SUUN to PBK on the NASDAQ and Cboe Canada Exchange, effective June 3, 2026. The change reflects its broader focus on powering the AI and digital infrastructure sectors.
