Plug and Play has made its first direct investments in Albanian startups, announced in a press release. The Silicon Valley based innovation platform backed six companies as part of the first batch of Plug and Play Albania, marking a milestone for the country's growing technology ecosystem.

The six startups are Synaps, Insect Intel, Bliss, Infinitcode.ai, NEKOD, and kidsday. Their founders completed a six week program in Silicon Valley, where they met investors and mentors. The participation led to faster product validation and expanded access to funding opportunities.

The initiative was supported by the Albanian American Development Foundation, IN Groupe, Piramida Tirana, the Municipality of Tirana, and Innovation Hub. These partners helped connect local startups with international stakeholders.

Plug and Play stated that it is continuing its activity in Albania with a second accelerator batch and ongoing evaluation of new investment opportunities.
