Photon Raises $16 Million Series A to Expand AI Prescription Infrastructure
Photon has raised $16 million in Series A funding led by Healthier Capital, with participation from Notation, Flare Capital Partners, and Evidenced, announced in a press release. The company plans to use the funds to grow its engineering and commercial teams, expand integrations with health systems and platforms, and strengthen its infrastructure for modern prescribing and medication access.
Photon’s platform connects prescribers, pharmacies, and patients by integrating real time price and stock information into the prescribing workflow. The system allows patients to see pharmacy availability and out-of-pocket costs before a prescription is sent, helping reduce delays and abandoned prescriptions.
Artificial intelligence is central to how Photon processes complex data across pharmacy networks, benefit structures, and formularies. The company uses AI to translate fragmented information into insights that patients and health systems can act on, improving transparency and efficiency across the prescription process.
