Phoenix Tailings Acquires Machinery Partner to Expand AI in Rare Earth Manufacturing
Phoenix Tailings has acquired Boston-based Machinery Partner, expanding its capabilities in AI, automation, and digital manufacturing infrastructure, announced in a press release. The acquisition adds a digital technology pillar to Phoenix Tailings' existing strengths in chemistry and industrial hardware for rare earth processing.
Machinery Partner's operating system and AI platform are already in use at hundreds of industrial sites in the United States. These systems will now be integrated into Phoenix Tailings' refining operations to create a data driven and automated manufacturing platform for rare earth materials. The company expects the integration to improve production yields, increase equipment uptime, lower costs, and accelerate the deployment of refining systems.
Machinery Partner co-founders Clement Cazalot and David Blair will join Phoenix Tailings as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Data and Automation. They will lead the integration of the digital infrastructure across Phoenix Tailings' operations.
Phoenix Tailings operates a fully integrated rare earth production platform that spans extraction, separation, refining, and metallization. The company focuses on domestic production of critical materials for sectors including defense, energy, robotics, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing.
