Pearson has agreed to acquire Workera, an AI skills assessment platform used by businesses and government customers.
Pearson Agrees to Acquire Workera

Pearson announced an agreement to acquire Workera, a platform that measures and verifies workforce skills. The companies expect the transaction to close in the second half of 2026, subject to customary conditions and required regulatory approvals.

Workera uses AI, psychometrics and adaptive assessments to measure proficiency through role specific scenarios and simulations. Its tools support employee training, hiring, internal mobility, redeployment and workforce planning. Customers include ServiceNow, Accenture and the United States Space Force.

Workera will join Pearson's Enterprise Learning & Skills business after the acquisition closes. Workera cofounder and CEO Kian Katanforoosh will join the unit's leadership team. Founded in 2019 and based in Palo Alto, Workera has about 60 employees.
