Palo Alto Networks Launches Idira Identity Security Platform for AI Enterprises

May 12, 2026
Palo Alto Networks has introduced Idira, an identity security platform that unifies control across human, machine, and AI identities. The platform eliminates standing privileges and applies AI-driven governance to modernize privileged access management.

Palo Alto Networks has introduced Idira, a new identity security platform for AI enterprises, announced in a press release. The system is designed to discover, control, and govern all identities across organizations, addressing the growing complexity of identity management in environments where human, machine, and AI agents all require access.

Idira replaces traditional privileged access management with a model that applies dynamic privilege controls to every identity. It removes standing privileges and uses AI to continuously identify and remediate risks. The platform also automates governance by applying AI powered policies across the entire identity lifecycle.

Existing CyberArk customers can access expanded capabilities through Idira. Traditional PAM users gain discovery and user experience improvements, while enterprise and developer customers receive immediate access to zero standing privilege and enhanced discovery features. Machine and AI identity security customers can add traditional PAM and governance capabilities through new licenses.

Idira is available immediately, with additional features planned for release later in the year.
