Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance Launches Global AI Research Exchange

The Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance has launched the Community Accelerated Research Exchange, a global AI platform connecting patients, clinicians, and researchers to advance gynecologic cancer research.

Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance announced in a press release the launch of the Community Accelerated Research Exchange, a global AI powered ecosystem aimed at transforming gynecologic cancer research. The platform connects patients, clinicians, researchers, and advocates to accelerate discoveries and improve care for ovarian and uterine cancers.

The Research Exchange includes the Living Lab, a patient powered registry that collects real world data such as medical records, treatment side effects, and quality of life information. This foundation supports the Discovery Lab, a collaborative research environment enabling scientists from institutions worldwide to access and analyze shared datasets.

The system is hosted on Amazon Web Services and uses AI tools including Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, and AWS HealthOmics to enable secure data integration and analysis. AWS is contributing one million dollars in credits to support the initiative.

Patients can participate through the Living Lab by contributing de identified data and accessing tools such as a personalized symptom tracker. The project is supported in part by AbbVie, AstraZeneca, GSK, and Genentech.
