Oracle and AWS Expand Oracle AI Database Service to 22 Regions

Oracle and Amazon Web Services expanded their strategic collaboration for Oracle AI Database@AWS, with the service now available in 22 AWS Regions, Oracle announced in a press release.

Oracle also made Oracle Exadata Database Service on Exascale Infrastructure generally available on Oracle AI Database@AWS. The service lets customers set compute and storage capacity for Oracle database workloads while using pooled storage servers for performance and availability.

The new Exadata option supports smaller Oracle databases, multiregion deployments for availability and disaster recovery, and instant thin cloning for database copies used in development and testing. Oracle said the service also supports AI workloads through Oracle AI Database and Oracle AI Vector Search.

Oracle named CJ Olive Young, Kobalt Music Group, and the Metropolitan Transport Authority of Barcelona as customers running workloads on Oracle AI Database@AWS. The companies are using the service for core workload migration, digital music rights processing, and public transport data systems.
