Oracle Introduces Air-Gapped Cloud Service for National Security

Oracle has announced the Oracle Compute Cloud@Customer Isolated, a secure cloud service designed for governments and regulated industries, providing enhanced security and control for confidential data.

Oracle Corporation has announced the launch of Oracle Compute Cloud@Customer Isolated, a new secure cloud service aimed at enhancing national security. This service is designed to be disconnected from the internet, offering governments and regulated industries the necessary security and control for handling confidential data, announced in a press release.

Oracle Compute Cloud@Customer Isolated provides the same compute, storage, and networking services as the existing Oracle Compute Cloud@Customer, but with the added benefit of being deployable in isolated environments. This allows organizations to maintain data sovereignty and control over their infrastructure, which is crucial for defense and intelligence operations.

The service can be deployed as a single rack and scaled as needed, enabling quick deployment of OCI Compute services on-premises. Oracle offers a Fast-Start path for rapid deployment within six to eight weeks, or a phased approach leading to a hyperscale, air-gapped Oracle Cloud Isolated Region.

Oracle Compute Cloud@Customer Isolated will be available globally later this year, providing a secure environment for mission-critical operations and supporting the cloud migration needs of defense customers.
