May 21, 2026
Optimizely announced that its Opal AI agent orchestration platform achieved 42% quarter-over-quarter ARR growth, with nearly 1,700 companies building over 4,000 custom AI agents for marketing workflows.

Optimizely announced in a press release that its AI agent orchestration platform, Opal, recorded 42 percent quarter over quarter growth in annual recurring revenue. Nearly 1,700 companies are now using the platform across marketing workflows, having built more than 4,000 custom AI agents that have executed over 172,000 tasks.

According to Optimizely, 97 percent of the activity on Opal is driven by customer-built agents, and about one third of those involve multi-step tasks. The company stated that this reflects a shift from using AI for isolated tasks to managing repeatable work across tools, data, and workflows.

Usage of Opal has expanded rapidly, with the weekly user base doubling over the past year and growing adoption among enterprise organizations. When combined with Optimizely’s Content Marketing Platform, campaign production increased by 85 percent, while asset reuse in Digital Asset Management rose by 57 percent.

The platform now includes more than 40 specialized agents, such as the GEO Auditor Agent, GEO Schema Optimization Agent, Variation Development Agent, and GA4 Traffic Report Agent. Optimizely has also launched Opal University, a certification program that has attracted over 1,800 companies and led to 445 completed certifications.
