OpenAI and America's SBDC Plan AI Training for 1,000 Small Businesses

OpenAI and America's SBDC will train local advisors to deliver in person AI workshops to more than 1,000 small businesses across the United States.

America's SBDC and OpenAI will provide AI training to small businesses across the United States, the organizations announced in a press release. The pilot will train SBDC advisors through OpenAI Academy, enabling them to lead local in person workshops for more than 1,000 businesses.

Advisors and business owners who complete the workshops will receive free access to ChatGPT Plus. The sessions will cover practical uses of AI, including daily operations, customer service and business decisions.

The organizations will also create playbooks and resources for specific industries to expand the training beyond the initial pilot states. The program will begin in phases over the coming months.
