Nura Studios Announces Showcraft Platform for AI Supported Animation
Nura Studios, founded by veterans from Apple Inc., Unity, and Roblox, announced in a press release that its animation platform Showcraft will enter Early Access on May 19.
Showcraft is designed to let game and animation studios transform existing human-created assets such as characters and environments into episodic series and films. The platform uses AI models that are fine-tuned to work with artist-created content rather than generating material from text prompts. This approach aims to preserve the artistic style and narrative intent of the source material.
The integrated platform connects story development, pre-production, visual and voice creation, and final editing in one environment. It manages AI processes behind the scenes, providing a controlled workflow for consistent visual and narrative quality.
Nura also operates Nura Atelier, an in-house studio that uses Showcraft to produce episodic content with selected partners. The company is supported by seed funding from iGlobe Partners, Fellows Fund, and Shanda Ventures and plans to expand its creator ecosystem and production capabilities over time.
