Nordic Semiconductor has launched an AI assisted development capability that integrates firmware development with real world field data, enabling continuous support from prototype to deployed IoT fleets.

Nordic Semiconductor has introduced an AI assisted development capability that spans the entire IoT product lifecycle, announced in a press release. The system combines firmware development with real world field data in one AI assisted workflow, from prototype to deployed fleet.

The capability enables faster prototyping on Nordic development kits, improves code reliability, and reduces token costs by allowing AI assistants to generate more accurate results in fewer iterations. Once devices are deployed, the same workflow supports AI assisted debugging and root cause analysis.

Nordic’s approach integrates hardware, software, and cloud services to allow developers to use their preferred AI assistants through Nordic MCP servers. The new system extends through the company’s software development kit, production handover, and field deployment.

The AI assisted development capability is available now through Nordic’s chip to cloud platform.
