Nexus Acquires Telemetrix RPM for Remote Patient Monitoring

Nexus has acquired Telemetrix RPM, a remote patient monitoring and chronic care management company, the company announced in a press release.

Telemetrix RPM now operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Nexus. The acquisition closed on July 23, 2026, in Cleveland. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Nexus said the combined platform will connect inpatient care, remote patient monitoring, chronic care management, cardiac AI, and clinical services in one workflow. Telemetrix RPM operates inside native Epic workflows under an Epic Consultant Access Agreement and also integrates with other electronic health records.

Akram Boutros serves as chief executive officer of both Nexus and Telemetrix RPM. Burley Wright, formerly chief executive officer of Telemetrix RPM, becomes chief operating officer of Nexus. Bret Shillingstad, founder of Telemetrix RPM, remains chief medical officer of Telemetrix RPM and also becomes chief medical officer of Nexus.
