Nexstrom Raises $12 Million for 12 Inch Semiconductor Wafer Platform
Nexstrom raised a $12 million seed round led by Xora Innovation, the company announced in a press release. Foothill Ventures and SEEDS also participated, bringing its total funding to $15 million, including $3 million in non dilutive funds.
The Singapore based company is developing a platform for growing single crystal 2D semiconductor materials across standard 12 inch wafers. Its technology combines chemical vapor deposition hardware, process technology and wafer scale material growth for use in existing foundry workflows.
Nexstrom will use the funding to develop the platform, collaborate with semiconductor foundries and expand its engineering and leadership teams. Founded in 2024, the company is targeting applications in AI, data centers, high performance computing and low power chips.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
