NetDragon and Open University Malaysia Partner on AI-Powered Open Education
NetDragon Websoft Holdings Limited has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Open University Malaysia to explore new models of AI-powered open education, announced in a press release.
The collaboration focuses on applying artificial intelligence and digital technologies to enhance open and distance learning. Both parties plan to co-develop AI-driven teaching content, integrate intelligent learning analytics into OUM’s Learning Management System, and introduce tools such as a psychological wellness dashboard and AI-based psychometric profiling to support personalized learning.
The partnership will also explore blockchain-based digital credentialing and micro-certification systems to ensure the security and authenticity of academic qualifications. In addition, the institutions intend to establish an AI Research and Innovation Laboratory dedicated to instructional design, gamified learning, and ethical AI practices.
Further initiatives include the joint creation of micro-credential courses and technical and vocational education programs aligned with industry needs, as well as the expansion of digital education ecosystems through OUM’s partner network. The agreement marks part of NetDragon’s broader effort to develop scalable AI education models adaptable for use across multiple countries.
