NAVER D2SF Invests in Clone Labs to Advance AI User Intent Modeling

NAVER D2SF, the corporate venture capital arm of Naver, announced in a press release that it has invested in Clone Labs, an AI startup focused on predicting user intent and decision-making. Clone Labs develops a User Model that learns from user behavior to anticipate and perform actions autonomously.

The User Model consists of three layers: Recording, which captures computer usage patterns; Memory, which analyzes context and preferences; and Prediction, which executes actions based on accumulated data. A confidence-based gating system determines when the model acts independently or seeks user confirmation for uncertain or critical tasks.

Clone Labs recently launched two products, Clone Desktop and Clone Plugin, designed for developers who work with multiple AI agents. The company was founded by students from Seoul National University and has conducted research with Stanford University and Carnegie Mellon University on computer-use agents and privacy-preserving memory systems.

The startup was discovered through the 2025 NAVER D2SF Campus Startup Competition and received investment three months after joining NAVER D2SF's incubation program in January 2026. NAVER D2SF highlighted the team’s rapid progress in problem identification, experimentation, and product validation.
