Midea Introduces Global Expansion Solution for Agentic Factories
Midea has launched its Agentic Factory Overseas Expansion Solution, marking a new stage in the international growth of Chinese manufacturers, according to a press release. The solution builds on Midea’s transformation of its Jingzhou washing machine plant, which received the first global WRCA Agentic Factory certification in August 2025.
The modular system includes intercultural employee training and cross border supply chain traceability, divided into twelve modules for rapid deployment in factories worldwide. It was validated at Midea’s refrigeration plant in Thailand, where 72 AI applications and 13 main agents across 25 scenarios reduced order delivery time by 43 percent, lowered customer complaints by 32 percent, and shortened employee training cycles by 62 percent.
Midea implemented a multilingual AIGC and VR training system that reduced onboarding time for new workers from eight to three days. For quality control, the company introduced a seven step VOC to VOP quality solution based on a knowledge base with more than 12 million cases. This allows customer complaints to be traced back to production lines within seconds.
To strengthen supply chain resilience, Midea developed an AI agent that monitors 35 key nodes in real time, cutting response time to incidents from 48 hours to less than 12 and maintaining raw material delivery punctuality above 96 percent. Combined with Annto’s integrated KD logistics solution, material readiness can exceed 99 percent. The Thailand factory also achieved a 50 percent reduction in product defect rates.
Partners such as Midea Cloud, KUKA, Annto, Hiconics, CLOU Electronics, and Midea Building Technologies contributed to efficiency gains through automation, reusable packaging, and integrated energy saving systems. Midea also introduced its Go Global Partner Program to share its implementation experience with other enterprises, as stated in a press release.
