Medsender Launches Agentic Referral Management for Specialty Practices
Medsender launched Agentic Referral Management for specialty practices, the company said in a press release. The software reads incoming referrals, extracts patient and insurance details, and contacts patients within minutes.
Patients first receive a text message and email with a booking link, followed by a phone call if needed. After a patient books, the software adds the referral to the electronic health record and updates the referring provider. Practices pay only for appointments that are booked.
Medsender reported that referral conversion at the first participating Anne Arundel Dermatology location rose from 10% to 48% during its first month, without additional staff. The dermatology group operates 110 locations with 325 providers.
The product is available for dermatology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, ear, nose and throat practices, and groups covering multiple specialties. Medsender says installation takes two to four weeks and does not require changes to how referring offices submit referrals.
