MediaTek and NVIDIA have jointly announced the RTX Spark, a new processor designed to power Windows 11 PCs with advanced local AI capabilities, content creation, and gaming performance. The first laptops featuring the chip will be available in fall 2026.

MediaTek and NVIDIA have introduced the RTX Spark processor, designed to power Windows 11 PCs with advanced local AI features, content creation tools, and gaming capabilities, announced in a press release.

The RTX Spark combines MediaTek's expertise in CPU performance, power efficiency, and connectivity with NVIDIA's AI platform and RTX technologies. The result is a system-on-chip intended for slim laptops and compact desktops that deliver high performance while maintaining low power consumption.

MediaTek contributed key components including a high performance CPU engine, memory controller, intelligent power management, and ultra low latency wireless connectivity. NVIDIA provided the AI and graphics architecture to support real time agentic AI functions and cinematic graphics.

The collaboration builds on previous projects between the two companies, including work on automotive platforms and data center AI systems. The first laptops using the RTX Spark are expected to reach the market in fall 2026.
