Mayo Clinic Adopts MammoScreen AI for Radiology

Mayo Clinic has licensed MammoScreen, an AI-based breast cancer screening software developed by Therapixel, for use in its radiology departments.

Therapixel has announced that Mayo Clinic has procured licenses for its AI-based breast cancer screening software, MammoScreen, to be used across its radiology departments. In a press release, it was detailed that MammoScreen provides AI-generated insights to assist radiologists in interpreting screening mammograms.

The adoption follows Therapixel's participation in the MedTech Accelerator Program, a collaboration between Mayo Clinic and Arizona State University, aimed at supporting early-stage health technology companies. After internal evaluations, Mayo Clinic decided to integrate MammoScreen into its clinical workflow to enhance diagnostic efficiency and accuracy.

MammoScreen is designed to support radiologists by offering decision support in interpreting screening exams, ultimately aiming to improve diagnostic outcomes. Matthieu Leclerc-Chalvet, CEO of Therapixel, emphasized that this agreement marks a significant step in making AI tools more accessible to radiologists and patients.
