Lyntris Acquires Novium to Strengthen Satellite Motion Systems
Lyntris has acquired Novium, a Houston-based developer of precision motion systems for space and defense applications, announced in a press release. The acquisition expands Lyntris' Space ISR and Resilient Communications portfolio to meet increasing demand for resilient communications in contested environments.
Novium designs motion systems such as robotic arms, gimbals, radiation-hardened motor controllers, and embedded software for space and defense use. These systems are built to deliver precision pointing and stabilization across space, ground, airborne, and maritime platforms. Their integration supports Lyntris' radio frequency and optical communications systems by improving the ability to acquire and maintain communication and tracking links.
Lyntris stated that Novium's technology will enhance its capabilities in precision antenna pointing and missile tracking. The acquisition also provides Novium customers with access to Lyntris' broader engineering resources, ISR technologies, and program management infrastructure while maintaining Novium's operations in Houston.
The combined portfolio will allow Lyntris to deliver integrated mission solutions covering signal collection, processing, and actuation within a single partner framework.
