LightTable Secures $6M to Enhance AI for Construction Plan Reviews

September 26, 2025
Denver-based startup LightTable has raised $6 million to develop AI software that improves construction plan reviews by reducing errors and costs.

Denver-based AI startup LightTable has announced a $6 million funding round to advance its software designed to improve the accuracy and efficiency of construction plan reviews. Founded in 2024, the company aims to streamline the process by using artificial intelligence to detect errors more quickly and accurately than traditional methods.

LightTable's software allows developers to upload site plans, which are then analyzed by an AI agent. This technology currently identifies 60% to 65% of errors, with plans to increase this rate to 90% within a year. The AI-driven approach significantly reduces the time required for plan reviews, which traditionally take weeks, to just 30 minutes.

The funding round was led by Primary Venture Partners, with contributions from the Deming Center Venture Fund and Innovation Endeavors. The investment will enable LightTable to expand its team and enhance its AI capabilities, aiming to analyze up to 10 million square feet of construction projects by the end of the year.

LightTable's technology is already being utilized by major developers, including Florida-based Mill Creek Residential, to reduce the costs associated with fixing errors in construction plans. The company charges clients based on the square footage of each project, offering a cost-effective solution compared to traditional peer review processes.
