Lenovo Powers AI and 3D Tech for FIFA World Cup 2026 Fan Experience
Lenovo is providing the technology foundation behind the FIFA World Cup 2026, delivering innovations that enhance the fan watching experience and competitive analysis, announced in a press release.
As FIFA's Official Technology Partner, Lenovo has equipped the tournament with its AI Factory tools and infrastructure to power real time insights and broadcast operations. A new platform named FIFA AI Pro analyzes millions of data points and more than two thousand performance metrics after each match, giving teams and fans access to advanced analytics.
For the first time, AI generated 3D player avatars have been introduced. Before the tournament, Lenovo digitally scanned over 1,200 players in less than one second each to create precise 3D models. The avatars provide additional viewing perspectives and help fans understand match dynamics with greater clarity.
The project draws on development work from Lenovo’s global headquarters in Morrisville, North Carolina, where the company designs and delivers technologies that support large scale global events. The company’s systems help ensure that the 2026 World Cup can serve billions of fans worldwide with enhanced data, immersive visuals, and stable operations.
