LabCentral and C10 Labs Launch AI BioHub in Kendall Square
LabCentral and C10 Labs have announced the creation of a new AI BioHub in Kendall Square, as stated in a press release. This initiative is supported by a $1.9 million Sector Spark grant from the Innovation Institute at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MassTech). The AI BioHub is designed to provide life sciences startups with cost-effective access to AI resources and wet lab space.
The collaboration between LabCentral and C10 Labs aims to bridge the gap between AI and experimental realities in drug development. C10 Labs will co-lead multiple AI/bio cohorts, leveraging their expertise in AI commercialization to support startups in integrating AI into their development processes. The first cohort is set to convene in the summer of 2025, offering participants access to AI infrastructure, lab equipment, and entrepreneurship programming.
Anna Marie Wagner, a leader in AI and life sciences, has joined the AI BioHub as a strategic advisor. Her experience includes advisory roles with organizations like DARPA and several AI-native life sciences companies. The AI BioHub aims to accelerate innovation in biotech by providing a platform where computational models and experimental results can synergize, ultimately enhancing the development of lifesaving therapies.
