JobsOhio Expands AI Ready Ohio Program to Train Thousands Statewide
JobsOhio has expanded its AI Ready Ohio program to provide both in-person and online artificial intelligence training across the state, announced in a press release. The initiative, developed with the Enterprise Technology Association, will reach more than 3,000 participants in Cincinnati, Columbus, and Toledo, while online courses will be available to all Ohio residents.
The program offers three certification tracks through the Enterprise Technology Association: AI Explorer for foundational literacy, AI Empowered Professional for workplace integration, and AI Empowered Leader for executives guiding AI strategy. Training is provided in partnership with technology companies and universities including Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Nvidia, The Ohio State University, Bowling Green State University, the University of Toledo, Xavier University, Miami University, and the University of Cincinnati.
AI Ready Ohio launched in November 2025 during Great Lakes AI Week at Bowling Green State University. It is part of JobsOhio’s broader AI Super Sector strategy aimed at building an AI capable workforce and supporting AI business growth in the state. Each regional training event is expected to enroll about 500 participants, with the program offered at no cost to residents.
The expansion builds on the program’s pilot phase, which exceeded certification goals by 170 percent. JobsOhio said the effort complements other state initiatives such as the TechCred upskilling program and university-level AI curricula, positioning Ohio as a national model for AI workforce readiness.
