Instacart Acquires Instaleap to Expand Global Enterprise Platform
Instacart has acquired Instaleap, a global fulfillment and enablement platform for grocery retailers, announced in a press release. The acquisition aims to accelerate Instacart’s international expansion by extending its enterprise platform to retailers in Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Instaleap operates in nearly 30 countries and works with about 100 grocery retailers and marketplaces, including Cencosud, Continente, Jerónimo Martins, Lulu, and SPAR. The company will continue to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary to maintain service continuity for its partners.
Instacart plans to introduce more of its enterprise technologies to Instaleap’s customers over time, including its ecommerce platform Storefront Pro, smart cart system Caper Carts, retail media solution Carrot Ads, and order management tool FoodStorm. The acquisition supports Instacart’s effort to provide integrated online and in-store technology solutions for grocery retailers worldwide.
