Hyperscale Data to Sell Montana Assets, Focus on Michigan Campus
Hyperscale Data, Inc. announced its intention to sell the land leases and power contracts of its Montana data center properties to focus on its flagship campus in Michigan, announced in a press release. The Montana properties, acquired by BNI Montana, LLC, a subsidiary of Sentinum, Inc., include two land lease agreements and corresponding power purchase agreements.
The decision to divest these assets is part of Hyperscale Data's strategy to concentrate resources on its Michigan facility, which currently provides approximately 30 megawatts (MW) of power capacity. The company plans to expand this capacity to 70 MW over the next 20 months. The Michigan campus is positioned to become a cornerstone for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing.
If the sale of the Montana assets is successful, the proceeds are expected to strengthen Hyperscale Data's balance sheet and accelerate the development of the Michigan campus. This move aligns with the company's goal of maximizing stockholder value and enhancing its competitive position in the data center market.
