Huawei Reports 2025 Results with AI and Automotive Growth; Geekplus Turns Profitable
Huawei reported 2025 revenue of CNY880.9 billion ($126 billion), a 2.2% increase from the previous year, with net profit rising to CNY68 billion. The company said growth in AI-related computing and automotive solutions offset declines in other areas. Its ICT infrastructure unit generated CNY375 billion, up 2.6% year-on-year, while the consumer division rose 1.6% to CNY344.5 billion. Revenue from intelligent automotive solutions grew 72.1% to CNY45 billion, supported by expanding vehicle technology and software platforms. Cloud computing revenue fell 3.5% to CNY32.2 billion, reflecting intensified competition. Huawei stated it would continue investing in connectivity, computing, cloud, and AI, building ecosystems around its Ascend and Kunpeng chips and HarmonyOS platform.
In separate news, announced in a press release, Geekplus reported a 31.6% year-on-year revenue increase to RMB3.17 billion for 2025 and achieved profitability with a net gain of RMB43.8 million. The company attributed its performance to the integration of embodied intelligence and AI technologies, with gross profit rising 34.4% to RMB1.13 billion and order intake up 31.7% to RMB4.14 billion.
