Hopscotch Primary Care Raises $53 Million for Rural Health Care Expansion
Hopscotch Primary Care has raised $53 million in Series D financing, the company announced in a press release. The company said it will use the funding to expand access in the Southeastern United States, enter new rural markets, and scale its technology powered operations.
8VC and Townhall Ventures led the round. Existing investors aMoon Fund, Citi Impact Fund, Alumni Ventures, and K2 HealthVentures participated, along with new investors including Autism Impact Fund, John Doerr, Dr. Richard Merkin, and the Leon Levine Foundation.
Founded in 2021, Hopscotch serves more than 15,000 patients through 12 clinical locations in rural communities across the Southeastern United States, with its largest concentration in Western North Carolina. Its care model includes same day visits, 24/7 access to care teams, and outreach supported by technology used to reduce administrative work for providers.
The company reported a Net Promoter Score of 89, patient retention above 90 percent, and medical expense management tied to MLR improvement of more than 25 percentage points for patients over their first two years.
