CEO Michelle Masek and Chief Communications Officer Nadia Jamshidi founded the company after working in agency and in house communications roles. Honeyjar also operates the Comms Lab, an initiative that trains its product using the judgment of experienced public relations professionals.

Users must approve and send pitches or publish social posts themselves. Honeyjar received 10,000 waitlist signups in its first 24 hours, while beta testers include Nextdoor, Coco Robotics, Bloomberg Beta, Mission North and Full Picture.
