Heidi Launches in South Africa with 15,000 Clinicians Already Using Platform
Heidi has officially launched in South Africa after more than 15,000 clinicians across the country adopted the platform organically, announced in a press release. The company said the launch follows strong clinician-led demand driven by workforce shortages and administrative pressures in healthcare systems.
The platform integrates directly into clinical workflows to automate documentation and administrative tasks. It supports multiple languages, works offline in low-connectivity environments, and meets local healthcare governance and regulatory standards. Integrations with practice management systems such as Practice Perfect and HealthFocus allow clinicians to use Heidi without changing their existing workflows.
Healthcare organizations including Intercare Group and Fourways Veterinary Hospital are piloting Heidi across their networks. The company has appointed Dr Calvin Howard to lead South African operations and Dr Michelle Yuan to oversee customer success and engagement.
Globally, Heidi supports more than 2.5 million consultations each week across 190 countries. The company said its mission is to double the world’s healthcare capacity by embedding AI support at every stage of care delivery.
