Handoff Introduces H1 AI Model for Automated Blueprint Takeoffs

Handoff has unveiled H1, an AI system that reads blueprints and automatically generates complete material takeoffs, now available for Scale Plan subscribers and API users.

Handoff has launched H1, an AI model that reads blueprints and generates full material takeoffs automatically, announced in a press release. The system allows users to upload blueprint files and receive completed takeoffs without manual input.

According to the company, H1 uses specialized agents trained to interpret construction drawings across various trades. The model processes blueprint PDFs and delivers results in a fraction of the time typically required by human estimators.

Benchmark tests reported that H1 outperformed major AI models by more than 30 points and achieved results comparable to experienced estimators on residential blueprints. The system is now available for all Scale Plan subscribers and through the company’s API.
