Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is intensifying its efforts to establish an international AI cooperation hub focused on ASEAN, announced in a press release. This initiative is showcased at the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) in Nanning, where new pavilions dedicated to AI and emerging industries are being introduced.

The Nanning-Zhongguancun Innovation Demonstration Base, a key platform in this endeavor, is already attracting significant interest from ASEAN countries. Business delegations from Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Malaysia have shown strong interest in China's AI products, with notable pre-orders placed for smart terminal products and coffee robots.

The expo, themed 'Digital Intelligence and Innovation Empower Development,' aims to leverage the upgraded China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (FTA) Version 3.0, which emphasizes the digital economy as a new driving force for cooperation. Guangxi's strategy involves fostering a cross-region industrial ecosystem, integrating R&D from major Chinese cities with applications in ASEAN markets.
