GEMS Education Unveils AI Based GR8 School
GEMS Education unveiled GR8 School, which combines adaptive AI learning with human teachers and industry specialists, the company said in a press release. The first program will begin a soft launch in January 2027 and initially operate as a separate pathway within an existing school.
Students will use AI systems to study core academic material at their own pace. The systems will continually assess progress and provide teachers with data for individual support, while teachers remain responsible for academic standards and practical instruction.
A typical day will include about 90 minutes to two hours of live instruction led by teachers, alongside independent study supported by AI. Students will also receive two to three hours of enrichment through projects, practical activities, sport, arts and sessions with specialists.
GEMS Education said annual fees are expected to range from about $8,000 to $10,000 for lower cost options and $20,000 to $40,000 for premium options. Final fees and further launch details will be confirmed later.
