G2 Adds AI-Linked Identity Verification and MCP Integration for Trusted Software Insights
G2 has introduced new product capabilities designed to enhance trust and visibility in AI-driven B2B software buying, announced in a press release. The updates include identity verification through LinkedIn, a new Model Context Protocol (MCP) powered by Claude, and expanded market intelligence tools.
The LinkedIn integration allows users to display verified professional identities on reviews, helping ensure authenticity. Since launch, G2 has verified over 100,000 reviews through LinkedIn, resulting in a 40% reduction in rejection rates and a 25% improvement in moderation efficiency. This aims to give buyers greater confidence in the credibility of user feedback.
The new MCP architecture connects trusted G2 buyer data directly to AI workflows, starting with an integration with Claude by Anthropic. This enables AI assistants to draw on real buyer behavior and verified reviews from G2’s database, allowing organizations to identify active research trends, product strengths, and potential churn risks based on current market activity.
G2’s expanded intelligence capabilities also include Competitive Pulse, AEO Traffic insights, and Spend and Contract Intelligence. These tools combine buyer intent, CRM data, and AI-driven analytics to help vendors track competitive activity and understand how AI-generated search results influence software discovery.
The updates were unveiled at G2’s quarterly Innovation Event, which focused on building buyer trust and improving decision-making in the AI-driven software marketplace.
