Flagstar Bank Establishes Proprietary AI and Technology Platform

Flagstar Bank has announced proprietary rights for its enterprise platform and a new AI system, part of its ongoing technology transformation aimed at unifying operations across legacy systems.

Flagstar Bank, N.A. announced in a press release that it has established proprietary rights over its enterprise platform and a new AI system as part of a broad technology transformation.

The bank has applied for a trademark for its Flagstar S2 Platform, which represents a unified technology initiative consolidating three legacy banking environments, six data centers, and multiple technology stacks into a single integrated foundation. The platform is designed to simplify operations, reduce costs, and improve both customer and employee experiences.

Flagstar has also filed a provisional patent for StarIQ, its enterprise generative AI orchestration system. StarIQ enables secure and governed deployment of AI tools across the bank’s operations while maintaining regulatory compliance. The system integrates models from Anthropic, Meta, Mistral, and Amazon, and operates on Amazon Web Services with security provided by Palo Alto Networks.

The bank stated that these proprietary systems reflect its commitment to building differentiated technology capabilities suited to regulated financial environments.
