Figma has acquired Tel Aviv-based AI-powered image and video generation company Weavy. The acquisition forms a new brand, Figma Weave, which will expand Figma’s platform with advanced media generation and editing capabilities.

Design platform Figma has acquired AI-powered media generation company Weavy, announced on their website. The acquisition introduces a new brand, Figma Weave, which will focus on integrating generative AI tools for image, video, animation, and motion design within the Figma ecosystem.

Weavy’s 20-person team will join Figma, bringing its browser-based tools that combine multiple AI models with professional editing features. The platform allows users to generate and refine images and videos using models such as Seedance, Sora, Veo, Flux, and Ideogram. Designers can adjust lighting, apply masks, and modify colors and angles directly within the canvas.

Figma stated that Weavy will continue to operate as a standalone product initially, with plans to integrate it into the broader Figma Weave platform over time. The acquisition expands Figma’s capabilities in AI-driven creative workflows, supporting users in producing high-quality visual content for design and branding projects.
