Fermi Inc. has announced a leadership transition under a new strategic phase called 'Fermi 2.0', appointing Marius Haas as Chairman and establishing new offices in Dallas and Amarillo.

Fermi Inc. has launched a new strategic phase called "Fermi 2.0," which includes leadership changes, new board appointments, and expanded office locations in Texas, announced in a press release.

Marius Haas, previously Lead Independent Board Director, has been named Chairman of the Board. Co-founder Toby Neugebauer has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer but remains on the board. Miles Everson has resigned as Chief Financial Officer and joined the board through designation rights held by the Melissa A. Neugebauer 2020 Trust. Jeffrey S. Stein has also joined the board, bringing corporate leadership and energy sector experience.

To maintain operational continuity, Fermi has created an Office of the CEO, led by Co-Presidents Jacobo Ortiz Blanes and Anna Bofa. The board has initiated a formal search for a new CEO, working with executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles. The company is also in talks to appoint an Interim CFO.

As part of the Fermi 2.0 initiative, the company will establish a new headquarters in Dallas and a corporate office at its Project Matador site in Amarillo. The move reflects Fermi’s transition from a startup to a larger enterprise focused on advancing Project Matador and its partnership with the Texas Tech University System.
