FCT Develops Flexible Leak Detection Assembly for AI Servers

Flexible Circuit Technologies (FCT) announced in a press release a flexible liquid leak detection assembly for liquid cooled AI servers and high performance computing systems. The thin, lightweight sensor can fit around cooling components and detect leaks near potential failure points.

FCT can customize the assembly with different sensing patterns, circuit layouts, connector interfaces, and detection zones. It can monitor quick disconnects, GPU and CPU cold plates, manifolds, coolant lines, coolant distribution units, and server trays.

The company plans to supply the assembly to server manufacturers, liquid cooling companies, cold plate manufacturers, thermal management suppliers, and data center infrastructure providers. FCT will support concept design, prototyping, fabrication, assembly, and volume production.
